This Olde Victorian black and brass rim lock is supplied with genuine ebony bun door knobs and aged brass backplates, creating a refined and authentic door set ideal for period and heritage properties.
Faithful to Victorian design principles, this flanged rim lock features ornate detailing that reflects the craftsmanship of the era. Originally popular during the Victorian period, this style later saw renewed use throughout the 1920s and 1930s, particularly on traditional Pitch Pine doors.

Door Knobs
The round bun door knobs are crafted from true ebony wood, offering a deep, rich tone and excellent durability. Their simple bun profile delivers a subtle, understated look that sits perfectly within Victorian and Edwardian interiors.
The reeded backplates are made from solid unlacquered brass with an aged brass finish, allowing a natural patina to develop over time. This creates added character and enhances the traditional appearance of the door furniture.
The removable backplates allow these knobs to be used with rim locks or as mortice knobs when paired with a suitable tubular latch.
